Dear Mom and Dad,

I know the whole purpose of the video camera was so we would send you lots of videos of Nathan, and yes, I have been slacking on the videos. I promise we have been using the camera, it just takes so long to upload them to show you. So, just for you, I took a few hours out of my day and just uploaded some videos onto this blog...here ya go.
Most of the videos are pretty long, not tons of excitement, but I promise you Nathan is still cute in all of them.

Love,
Sarah

p.s. Thanks for the camera- best graduation gift ever :) I love that we will have these memories forever
p.s.s. (?) Nathan stops doing whatever he's doing when he sees the camera, so if it looks like we're trying to sneak up on him, it's because we are.

New things in our house

*We have a "new" kitchen
it is so wonderful to have counter space and cupboard space...it's absolutely amazing.
we're still trying to decide if we will switch the closet with 9-cube thing...we'll see if this is how it'll stay...we still need to get some baskets for the cubes...all in due time...

*I have a wrist brace
because this sweet child
is so cute I just have to hold him!

For over a month my wrist has been hurting and when Chris asked one of his teachers a simple test showed that I have De Quervain's Tensynovitis...pretty much just tendonitis caused by picking up Nathan; it's pretty common for mothers...it hurts a lot so I'm hoping my regime of rest, ice, and ibuprofen will work.

*Nathan's crib bumpers...
I finished these a while ago and I don't have a picture, but they're cute...they are a patchwork of of 6 different fabrics. Maybe I'll take a picture later when Nathan isn't sleeping.

We've had so much fun making this house our home. Now I'm focusing on getting a new table...I hate ours, but that one will probably be a while...sad :(

I would die...

if I had twins.

That's right- I don't know how people do it. I babysat Nathan's little friend Caitlin on Saturday while her Dad and Chris studied together. I thought I was going to die- Caitlin is only a week older than Nathan, so it was practically like having twins and oh. my. gosh.
They are both so cute and cuddly, but once one cries, the other cries, and it becomes a vicious cycle where there is no end...until Nathan went down for a nap.

Nathan got really jealous whenever Caitlin would play with one of his toys, he kept trying to take it...so it appears we will need to work on sharing. They also liked pulling at each other's hair and face. It wouldn't be so bad if they both weren't mobile.

at least they're both cute :)

It's not too late...right?

maybe it is, but oh well

We carved a pumpkin! It was a fun little date night that happened after Halloween- yes, that's right, after Halloween. It turns out pumpkins are cheaper once Halloween is over (and since Houstonians apparently aren't big pumpkin carvers they were really hard to find)

good times :)

Happy Halloween!

For Nathan's first Halloween we went to our Ward's Trunk-or-Treat activity and we had lots of fun showing off our cool costumes. We were probably the coolest family there- we definitely took the prize for best family costumes.
Don't we have the cutest little hot dog? Before we left for the par-tay Nathan's little friend Caitlin came over...they were so cute together :)

I love Ketchup :)

and Chris loves mustard :)
Happy Halloween!
