I'm upset. I finally found a sofa and love seat on craigs list that was nice and in our budget. I emailed the seller and we scheduled the exchange for tonight. I got the cash from the bank, told people about it, got super excited, and then late last night she sends us an email telling she sold it to someone else.
How rude.

So now we are on the hunt for couches...again.

Oh man I know that situation. Bugs me. We are looking for a mattress and box springs for our spare room and every time I find a good deal and email the person they don't even contact me back. I guess the right thing hasn't popped up yet...
Sorry about the sadness over the couch..
As someone that has done that to other people, let me tell you that it's not much more pleasant to be on the other side of it. But when you are in a rush to sell stuff (as people often are on Craigslist), the first person with cash in hand usually gets it. As a seller on CL, you have to deal with a lot of people who say they'll come but don't, so if you pass up cash now for cash later, you often get burned.
That's my unprovoked two cents. I'm still sorry it didn't work out though!
By the way Chris, we should be living in Irvine for Leininger's wedding, still looking for somewhere to stay?
