Sunday
-We went to Church, Chris took Nathan out in Sunday School so I paid attention for the first time in about 11 months
-Nathan took a long nap...that's what happens when he doesn't sleep at all during church
-Went on a family walk
-Had two girls from Chris's class over for dinner...pot roast and mashed potatoes with peach crisp for dessert- yum
Monday
- Visiting teaching...always fun
- We watched my amazing sister sing at the KENNEDY CENTER! If you want to see her awesomeness, go here
- Chris studied...a lot
I can't remember anything else...I'm sure we did something, but that was a long time ago
Tuesday
-Walmart-went to the nice one...it was fun- I hadn't been in a while. Is that sad that I think Walmart is fun? Most likely.
-Went to the Carters store- They are having a 50% off sale- I found some adorable clothes...Nathan will be so stylish
-Tried to go visiting teaching
-Chris studied even more
Wednesday
-I planned on going to play group, but Nathan decided to throw a fit for about an hour so that was a no-go.
-Went to Marshalls and Ross looking for shoes for Nathan...didn't get anything :( Nathan has tiny feet so trying to find shoes that have hard soles in his size (that aren't ugly) is quite a challenge
- Chris really studied a lot. He and Brent studied for about 4 hours together till 11 (while Kelly and I watched the olympics and talked) and Chris then stayed up till 2 am studying on his own...let's just say we both are glad anatomy is over!
Thursday
- Meeting at the WIC office- it only took about 5 minutes! That is probably a new record.
- Walmart- I went to the ghetto one on the way home from the wic office...I forget how ghetto it is every time- I really should just spend the extra 15 minutes to go to the nice one.
- Lunch at a friend's house- Nathan was a little intimidated by the older kids, I really need to get that kid out more.
-Chris came home early! He finished his anatomy finals and was home by 2:45! After he took a long nap him and Nathan were able to play together.
- To celebrate being done with Anatomy we had a junk food dinner- frozen pizza and taquitos...very healthy :)
- I went to book club- we read The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society- it was a great book- I totally recommend it
- After Nathan went to bed we stayed up and ate popcorn and a milkshake while watching the olympics- what a great date!
Friday
-Chris didn't have class till 9:00....we slept in. It was wonderful
- We met up with Chris for lunch at the Children's museum. We had fun hanging out and playing before before he had to go to work (from 4 till 9)
- Headed over to Hobby Lobby (need some pink and purple thread) and Target
- Finished sewing 4 baby shower gifts...to many people are having babies at the same time!
Saturday
- I helped Brent and Kelly move...yea for cleaning
- Went to a baby shower for twin boys (while Chris got locked out of our apartment so long story made short, he went and helped Brent clean while Kelly and I were at the baby shower)
- Nathan tried to say the word "moon." We just found out he loves looking at the moon, so on a little walk he kept staring at the moon and saying "oon" or "oo." It's kind of embarrassing but I cried because it really hit me that he is 11 MONTHS OLD TODAY!
- Study for finals...only 4 more school days till vacation!
Here's some pictures of Nathan because he's so dang cute:
eating spaghetti---it's his new favorite food. He loves it and it's still cute how messy he gets
look at all those teeth! He's got two on the bottom and 4 on the top
Nathan can stand on his own but almost always chooses not to, but today I finally caught him on camera! He's totally crying and upset, but he stood there long enough to let me snap a few pictures.
Poor kid- he's probably thinking that he has the meanest mother ever
Just 4 more weeks till he's 1- we can't believe how much he's grown. He's the best kid ever and we love him!

check out that sweet shirt! He is pretty cute when he cries.
I had nearly forgotten (or tried to forget)what grad school was like for a young family! Your description brings back memories of some pretty demanding times. However, "...this too shall pass..." and you will find someday that it will have all been worth it...
