When we went to Mexico- Monday and Tuesday

Right after Thanksgiving my very amazing mother came to babysit our kids for 5 whole days so Chris and I could go on a cruise! It was so wonderful to get away and spend some time together.  It was my first time ever leaving my kids overnight (except for one night with Nathan when I went to girl's camp) so it was an epic trip for me!

We started off our trip the right way- we were about 10 minutes from the cruise terminal when my mom called and asked where my keys were...and they were in my purse, at my feet...only kind of important that she have the house and car keys right? So we found a post office and mailed them back- thankfully they got there the next day :)

We arrived at the ship, waited forever in line to get on, and then immediately got down to the important part- finding some good food!

It was so exciting saying goodbye to Texas- and the sunset on the water was awesome.

We already started our relaxation pretty quickly

That night we ate a wonderful dinner and then played some mini golf and basketball.

The next day, Tuesday, was spent like this-

at the pool, with a book, occasionally some food.  It was awesome.
One either side of the ship their was a pool.  One was bigger and had the bar and dj...and all the drunk college students and pathetic middle age women.  We spent almost all of our time at the "lame" pool. It was peaceful and quiet and perfect for us- and lots of old ladies loved talking to Chris. It was nice to know what we fit better into the 60+ crowd :)

This looks so fun! Glad you got to take a fun trip! And I love what said about the 60+ group, Richard and I are totally the same way!
