The biggest news in our live's right now is that we are having a baby! We're so excited! We find out in about 3 weeks if it's a boy or a girl- I'm hoping for a girl (just because they're so cute to dress up), but Chris is dreaming of a boy (someone to play football with). Both of us could really care less what our little one is, we're just so happy! Our baby is due March 28th, so we can't wait for the spring!
Since I've been out of the first trimester, everything has improved. Thinking that I would be somewhat like my mom, I envisioned pregnancies with hardly any morning sickness. Unfortunately, I was not blessed with the "no throwing up' gene and had a horrible first few months. Thanks to the help of modern medicine, I now take this lovely little pill that helps me actually keep food in. It doesn't work all the time, but only throwing up once a week is awesome compared to 3 times a day. Poor Chris has been such a trooper- he is the best husband in the world and tries so hard to make me comfortable, rub my back as I'm perched over the toilet, make sure I get food that won't make me gag, but I know it's been hard. My first indication that I was pregnant was extreme fatigue--only other girls who've had a baby would understand- you get soooo tired! It was ridiculous! I could not do anything. Chris had to make me breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday, do everything around the house, and go to school and work all while finishing up all his grad school applications. Let's just say we're both happy to be in the second trimester now.
Updates: Chris has finished all his applications for grad school. (He's going to be a physician's assistant). We've finally finished the GRE, all the transcripts, stupid essays, and paid all the money. He's super excited to be done, and now it's just the waiting game to see where he gets interviews. He already got an interview at Midwestern University in Arizona, so he leaves for that one in November. Most of the schools won't get back to us till December/January time- so we have plenty of time to wait. So far Chris has had a great year in school- he's worked super hard and proved that he's a genius :) He's still working at an out-patient physical therapy place and really likes the patients he works with. He always comes home with funny stories about the interesting people he meets. Right now he's just excited to be almost done with his biology class- it turns out the reproductive system of sponges and other invertebrates is not his forte.
I've started teaching--CRAZY. I teach 7th grade Utah Studies and 8th grade US at Dixon Middle School here in Provo. . I never thought that teaching could be so hard, so fun, so intense, and so crazy. Everyone at BYU said the internship was hard, but adding being pregnant on top of everything made the past month absolute torture. I am a firm believer that teachers do not get paid anywhere near the amount of money we should be. An intern is really a mix between a student teacher and a regular teacher. Instead of student teaching for a semester, I get my own classroom (just like a regular teacher) and do everything on my own for half pay...lame. This week has been great because of Fall Break! I never realized when I was a kid that the teachers probably looked forward to holidays even more than the students!
Anyways...we'll keep everyone posted when we find out about the baby...and we'll get some pictures up. Even though I'm about 17 weeks along I'm barely showing at all...just my pants are getting kind of snug, so just imagine what I look like normally- because nothing really has changed.

Congrats! I thought this was coming (especially Chris told me about your plans earlier and was asking questions about being pregnant and working). I know how it is doing a lot of work and being prego - so hard. Good luck and congrats agian (keep us updated!). Let me know if you have any questions or anything else.
Congratulations! So, Jimi spilled the news to me when I ran into him the other day. But, yay! I'm so excited for you!
