Super Bowl Fun

...so I wrote this a long time ago and never published it...

Yesterday we were able to get together with some friends and watch the Super Bowl (i.e. eat lots of food and talk).  Nathan had a blast playing with all of his friends- he was so sad when the game was over and we had to leave. We actually missed the entire first quarter- we should really learn that we are not on eastern time! Chris had fun watching the game with guys who truly care about football (not that I don't...I'm just not a fanatic).
Nathan did great considering he went to bed 2 hours past his bed time, but I could tell how tired he was toward the end of the game when he would go from laughing to crying back to laughing in less than 15 seconds. When we got home we told him we would read only one book before bed, but instead he just climbed right into his bed and closed his eyes- it was so cute! We were hoping that he would sleep in this morning- but he is such a morning person! He was up bright and early at 6:20...the poor kid must be so tired!
So I'm pretty proud of the food we brought- I made homemade Baked Creamy Chicken Taquitos! They turned out good- I was really proud of my first attempt- we made a double batch and now I have some in the freezer to pull out whenever we want...yum!  I also made some Creamy Lime Cilantro Dressing (just like Cafe Rio's) to go with it...we're definitely fans and will be making it again soon.
All the food was way too good- pretty sure I gained about 5 pounds...I just couldn't stop eating- but that's what the Super Bowl is all about right?

Unfortunately we didn't take any pictures (I did bring the camera...just never took it out of my bag...whoops!) Oh well- we all had fun!
