A Houstonian Winter Wonderland

A few weeks ago I packed up the kids, picked up Chris from work and we headed to a Christmas Festival at Rice Village.

We had fun glancing at Santa -pictures were not free :( and met up with his reindeer

here we are getting balloons from two of Santa's elves

meeting a police man and his cool van

and a SWAT guy and going inside his van

The kids rode a cute little train

We decorated cookies

and ate dinner at a cute little cafe- yummy!

After dinner our kids experienced an ice cream truck for the first time, and it was free- my favorite kind of ice cream!

Then we went and found some "snow!" Nathan has only seen snow when he was 9 months old and Abby has no idea what snow really is so it was so fun even it was the most packed "snow" ever!

We had a great time- and look forward to the day our kids can play in real snow- until then we will settle with packed ice banks in the middle of the street at festivals...

I have been catching up on your last few posts. They all make me smile. I love that you get out and do so much with your kiddos, and take so many videos. What fun memories. Merry Christmas!
