Since Chris doesn't have much time (and our budget is tight now that we're living on school loans), our date nights are cheap and occur after Nathan has gone to bed (and Chris is too tired to study anymore). This week it was my turn to plan our date night- I decided that we would have a fun night of popcorn and Monoploy--with a twist. I made the game "Lovopoly" which is essentially Monopoly but everything was based on our life together. All the properties were places we had been together, instead of "Chance Cards" we had "Get Lucky Cards" which were stories of us. Instead of Community Chest I made "Family Jewels" cards. The pieces we used were pictures of us, and instead of Jail, I made "The Doghouse."
It was pretty fun- until I completely dominated :)

I spent hours making this- it took forever- but it was worth it!

good game, then did you play battleship?
How creative are you! Great job. Although if you're looking for cheap date nights you could always try a competition of who can stay on the couch for the longest.
Sarah, you are ridiculously amazing! That is so awesome. I'm completely jealous and I want to be as crafty as you. Please give me details of exactly what you did. I would love to do that, then play battleship after, just for Jimi!
