Vacation- Thursday

The first part of our trip started with a Ferry Ride across the Puget Sound. It was Nathan's first time on the water and we like to think that he liked it...but it was cold!

this is us waiting for the ferry

he's so cute!

it was cold and windy...and foggy. But fun!

We then headed to a little port town called Port Townsend. It was a cute, tiny, Victorian town. We first went on the driving tour of some old Victorian homes.
You should ask Chris about my amazing tour guide skills...it turns out it's a lot harder than it seems like it would be.
We then went to the beach to eat lunch. It was Nathan's first time at the beach (there were a lot of first for him this trip). We had tons of fun taking pictures :)

Nathan was tired of sitting in his car seat and took every oportunity to stand
We had tons of fun eating our lunch on the beach, until a crazy bird came and ate our cookies!
Lame bird
We then headed over to a time farming town called Sequim (pronouced skwim...I don't get it) and we found a u-pick farm and we went and had tons of fun. We picked starberries, blackberries, and blueberries.

Chris had fun picking strawberries

Nathan had fun helping

here's what we got after a few minutes of picking
they were absolutely delicious!

We then took a drive up Hurricane Ridge (part of the Olympic Mountains) and took in the view- it was so beautiful!

We then headed over to Puyallup to spend the night at Chris's cousin's house.
(Katie- I thought about you while we were there...I even looked up when the Puyallup fair was so we could do "the Puyallup"...but we missed it by a few weeks)
We got there super late and were sooo tired- it was a long day but so much fun!

I love Port Townsend! It's one of the only sandy beaches in WA, and it has the funnest little boardwalk! Jealous! Also, you should "do the Puyallup" some time, it's great!
