25 Reasons Chris is Amazing
1. Chris is hilarious. I don't know what I did before I met him. He can turn anything into a joke, which (when you're a pessimist/intense worrier like I am) is a great trait to have.
2. He is the best father ever. It was Chris who realized that Nathan loves playing rough. Nathan thinks its hilarious when we toss things at him, especially when they hit him.
3. He is a great singer/songwriter. If you ever need a spur of the moment song, ask Chris. He'll make one up for you on the spot.
4. Chris can quote any line from any movie he has ever seen. I swear it's true. He will quote movies he saw years ago, once, and expect me to remember. It's cute.
5. He is the hardest worker I know. Baylor has been a challenge for both of us, but he has done so incredibly amazing. He wakes up around 5 every morning to study in order to spend time with Nathan before Nathan heads to bed.
6. He is super easy to please. He let's me experiment with food and always seems happy about it...what a great quality to have in a husband.
7. Chris can read my mind. It didn't take him long to know when I need a back rub or foot rub. He also knows when I need some water, some ice cream, or a cookie.
8. Chris has the heart of a child. He loves to play, have fun, and make people laugh.
9. Chris is a people person. He is so good at talking to people, getting to know them, and making them feel comfortable.
10. Chris is super smart. He sometimes pretends that he isn't, but when you're an "academic superstar" (direct quote from one of his professors!) it just can't be denied. He did superb this past semester. Nathan and I are so proud of our genius :)
11. Chris loves chocolate chip cookies- which is great because they're my favorite (and easiest) cookies to make. I love that he likes my recipe.
12. Chris is always looking for ways to serve others. He sees the needs of others, whether it is his home teachees, a friend, or just someone we meet (like when the tv guy came last week and within a few minutes him and Chris were good friends and- on Chris's suggestion, I was wrapping a Christmas gift for his pregnant wife...)
13. He loves sports. He is the cutest when he tries to play football with Nathan. I can't wait to see them when Nathan is older and actually knows what's going on.
14. Chris loves to talk. I feel bad for wives whose husbands don't talk to them. We can talk about anything, we love to talk about the future...and our feelings :)
15. Chris loves teaching me new things. Like the names of random body parts (I try to really care about the names of the different parts of the stomach...or spleen...or where all your lymph nodes are, or what medicines really do....)
16. Chris pretends to care when I talk to him about play group, other moms, babies, or what to make for dinner (as long as it tastes good he's great).
17. He makes me feel special...even on days when i'm super tired and haven't showered. He makes me feel good about myself.
18. He is willing to learn. Some of my favorite memories are of Chris practicing the piano. He is currently learning all about how to fix and maintain his bike, and he really loves learning everything at school.
19. Chris loves to play games, and I love to play games. Our personal favorites are Sorry and Uno. And he's man enough (and confident enough) not to let me win. I like that.
20. One of Chris's favorite movies is Sleepless in Seattle...that automatically makes him wonderful.
21. He likes that I'm stubborn...and boy can I be stubborn...so that is a great thing.
22. He respects me. He respects my thoughts and feelings. He knows we are a team...we like being independent together.
23. Chris loves to take me to the temple; its one of our favorites things we do.
24. Chris loves me. He loves Nathan. We are his everything, and we know it. We know because he tells us frequently. We're so lucky.
25. Chris is the best person. ever. I love him with all my heart.
Happy Birthday Honey!
