Happy Easter

This year for Easter we didn't go all out- on Saturday Chris and I decorated Easter eggs after Nathan went to bed and had a contest to see who could make the prettiest, the ugliest, and the most creative...we tied for ugliest (though I think mine was probably worse and Chris was trying to make me feel better about myself). Chris won most creative and we tied again for prettiest (though I totally think mine was prettier). We slept in on Easter (thanks Nathan for sleeping in too!) and had a nice leisurely morning. Chris took Nathan on a walk while I finished breakfast- which turned out to be a disaster...apparently our griddle is no longer nonstick...which would have been nice to know before I put the blueberry pancakes on. We passed on doing an Easter egg hunt this year, I'm cherishing the fact that this is the only year we'll be able to get away with not doing it!
We had fun watching General Conference; I love being able to watch it in our home. Nathan was able to play and be his crazy self and we were able to listen to the Prophet and Apostles.
He had fun eating lunch

watching the TV

and taking notes
all while we were still in our pjs... :)

We were then able to make a great Easter Dinner for us and our friends Kelly and Brent who just had a baby and came home from the hospital on Sunday. It was so fun to go and see little Dax! He is so small and cute- I forget how tiny newborns are! It's amazing how much difference a year makes! I'm so excited to see Dax and Nathan be friends!
We then came home, ate our own delicious dinner (I made a nice ham...and it was my first try too) and played with Nathan. It was a wonderful day and we were glad that we could spend Easter together, listening to Conference, and reflecting on the Life and Resurrection of our Savior. We hope you all had a wonderful Easter too!
