Halloween 2010

For Halloween Nathan was a cute little Dalmatian- 101 Dalmatians is his favorite movie, and we are constantly in search of dogs whenever we are out on walks, so I figured this was a good costume.  I don't think he really got that he was a dog, but oh well...it was fun to see him all cute! (and it was fun to make his costume too thanks to a lot of help from my mom)

Our first Halloween activity was the ward Halloween Party/Trunk or Treat. Nathan mostly enjoyed swing and throwing his pumpkin around and chasing other kids.  But he was a perfect angel for the costume parade! He loved trunk or treating...once he figured out what was going on he would not let go of his pumpkin for anything...I had to pry it out of his hands in order to get his back in the car seat.  It's kind of sad that he can't eat the candy- he can eat smarties so it's a good thing he likes those!

Today Nathan helped my dad clean out some pumpkins and after dinner we got the kids all dressed up and went trick or treating to our neighbors.  It was fun showing Nathan off the the people I grew up with...he really is so cute! He did a good job saying "trick or treat", "thank you", and "bye bye" at most of the house, but unfortunately nap time was definitely not long enough and he completely lost all interest about 2/3 of the way around the houses.  The last 7 houses were all tears, but it was still fun. 

When we made it home Nathan got his pajamas on and went straight to bed...sometimes it's hard being so cute :)
