Our friends were awesome- I was a little nervous about taking an almost 2 week old to the beach and an almost 2 year old (without Chris too!) but it ended up being pretty easy. Without a car made our transportation a little fun- no one had room for all three of us to go together, so Nathan got to ride with his friends (and watch a movie!) and Abby and I got to go together in another car. I was a little nervous about having Nathan in the other car (sometimes he's a real pain to travel with...like most kids are...) but he did great- slept the whole way there and watched a movie the whole way back.
The beach was a little colder than we anticipated. I was scared Abby would be too hot, but the sun never really came out wind did not stop blowing, so it was actually chilly. None of the kids were fazed by the cold however- they all had a blast.
Once again Abby did great. She's an awesome little travel buddy. And Nathan had so much fun running around all over the beach, throwing sand and rocks in the water, digging holes, eating sand, and just having fun.

What a woman you are! I don't think I wanted to leave the house for a month after the boys were born. You're such a go-getter!
