Nathan had a blast looking at all the animals. It was a value day (cheap ticket day) and spring break, so the place was PACKED, but we were still able to do some fun things.
the pigs
he heard the cows
the bunnies
We also went to the "farm" where Nathan got to feed chickens, plant crops, milk a cow, shear a sheep, and sell his items at the market. He mostly just liked putting things into the basket, but it was fun!
carrying his basket at the farm
feeding the chickens
planting some peppers
picking some peaches
He really liked the petting zoo a whole lot more than last year. Last years visit ended with a bucket full of tears.
This year he was a little too enthusiastic- he kept trying to kiss the animals- gross. I blame this kid in the khaki hat...
he started it- Nathan's just a follower.
(that's his mom's hand on his head...she wasn't even trying to stop him- his lips were on the nasty deer and she did nothing. Things like that make me wonder if I'm a bad mom for not letting Nathan "experience things" or a great mom for not letting him KISS A DEER.)
We had a little (BIG) meltdown on the way home, but it was worth it. We're excited to go again on Saturday with Chris (and to go to the Brad Paisley concert!)

I thought you said "nasty deer lips" and for some reason that phrase will have me laughing all day.
Toddlers making out with wildlife - awesome.
