Unexpected Fun

Last night on a whim we decided to go to Red Robin for dinner.  It was delicious- Nathan did really well which helped make the experience really fun. 

and don't worry- we brought Buzz :) can't leave home without him!

After dinner we decided to stop by a little park on the way home.  There is a splash pad at the park but we didn't bring Nathan's swim suit/diaper- but that didn't stop him from playing in the water one bit.

We were surprised when we pulled up to the park because there were a lot of people there, kind of unusual for 6:30 at night.  We were excited to find out that there was a concert and free food and games there! We just happened to stumble upon the City of Pearland's Summerfest! While Nathan and Chris played on the playground and in the water Abby and I listened to some live music. 

We all got some free ice cream/popsicle as well as some free food from Panera- yum! There was a little moon bounce/t-ball game set up and other little vendors all doing stuff for free. 

The best part of the whole night was seeing the excitement and sheer joy on Nathan's face as he played- he was thrilled to be there. We're excited to stop by again next Friday.

maybe then we'll bring clothes for Nathan to wear home!
