On The Day She Turned One

Abby's birthday was pretty low key- it rained a ton so that kind of put a damper on some of our plans but we still had a great day.
The festivities really got started at dinner time.  We contemplated having a nice dinner to celebrate but settled on having some of Abby's favorite food instead- and it was a hit! She loved the mac n' cheese, peas, hot dogs and roasted carrots.  Usually when for dinner she'll scarf down her favorite foods first, but she was so excited she didn't know what to go for :)  She then proceeded to eat 2 entire hot dogs, and so much mac n' cheese, peas and carrots we couldn't keep up with her.

After dinner came presents...Nathan made sure he taught Abby how to open them all up...

and he wanted to try on all her new clothes too

Then came the cake! Abby didn't need any help from Nathan to know what to do for this part :)

Let's just say she likes cake.

We finished off the birthday fun with a quick dip in the tub.

I still can't believe she's already 1, it really feels like she just came to our family but like she's always been here. We just love her so much!
