Finally getting back outside

We weather here has been super lame- lots and lots and lots of rain.  And just when I think we can't get any more it rains some more.  It's been frustrating not being able to do stuff outside- the kids have gone a bit stir crazy, but when there is no real warning about when and where a huge thunderstorm is going to be we just had to roll with it.

Thankfully this Tuesday (while the forecast called for rain...) the weather was finally okay for a few hours to head outside to a Splash Pad!

I thought I would actually die from the heat, but the kids had so much fun spending more than 5 minutes outside.  I wish I had gotten more pictures but I was just too hot, fat, and comfortable in my chair, in the shade, talking to the other moms...oh well.

After almost 2 1/2 hours we finally headed home.  The second we pulled into the driveway it started to downpour...I'm glad we got out when we did!
