Our Anniversary Extravaganza

I decided to make things fun for our anniversary this year and have it be a weekend long celebration- 3 dates in 2 days was heavenly!

We started out on the evening of the 22nd going to the Temple to do sealings.  It was the perfect way to remember the promises we made to each to 6 years ago.  You would think that a Friday night wouldn't be too crazy in the sealing rooms of the Temple, but the room was packed- it was wonderful because one girl brought about 150 names of children to be sealed to their parental she was hoping to get about 40 done, but because so many people were there (way more then their average) we were able to complete all the sealings! It was amazing watching the altar be completely surrounded (there were many families with 6 sons) and watch entire families become eternal. It was more than wonderful.

..and the traffic was also pretty bad so we stopped by Pappasitos on our way up- that's always a good decision :)

Saturday morning we had another babysitter come while Chris and I went on a quick breakfast date.  We checked out a new (to us) bakery and we were not disappointed.  It was so fun to have a morning together.

That night we got all dressed up for dinner at one of the fanciest places in town! Chris's boss was so kind to give us a large gift certificate to this place and it was amazing! I felt so out of place but was doing an excellent job using all the right forks and fitting in quite well until we ordered our desserts...totally said fondant (the icing) instead of fondant (the frenchy word for the most amazing chocolate lave cake of your life).  Our waiter (and Chris) totally caught my mistake :) Oh well- we had an absolutely amazing experience eating some of the best food we've ever had.

Sunday was our actual anniversary- we made a special breakfast and just had one of those perfect mornings together as a family (church doesn't start till 1 so we had a lot of time to be together!) The kids behaved well at church and the whole day just felt like the best anniversary present ever because that is certainly not the norm.

Yay for being married for 6 years!
