It seemed pretty obvious to me almost immediately that we were having another girl! I had a feeling for a long time now (since early last year) that we would be having another girl at some point and had felt throughout the pregnancy thus far it was a girl (...first time my mother's intuition actually kicked in for this.) Chris was kind of hoping for a boy so Nathan would have a brother, but was obviously ecstatic about one more girl in the family...while a boy would have been fun anyone who knows Chris knows that our girls are definitely daddy's girls- and he loves it :)
The kids were so excited to find out what we were having- they could hardly wait till we were all together that evening. Nathan wanted a boy; Abby wanted a girl. I figured I would make a cake to show them because someone would be disappointed, but at least they had cake to console them!
Turns out Nate was disappointed for about 20 seconds and then he was so excited for our girl. He already has a name picked out (he's partial to the name Ashley). Abby was so excited and she's picked the name Hayley as her choice. Elise has absolutely no idea what the heck is going on.
We are so excited for this little girl to join our family. I first felt her move the week after this appointment and she hasn't stopped going since- she seems to be pretty active so far so hopefully she's getting all that energy out now!
