On Friday I had plans to be super productive, but when I dropped Nathan off at preschool another mom mentioned they were planning on heading to the splash pad after school. I didn't think it would work because I had plans. When my Costco and Hobby Lobby trip went faster then expected I arrived home with 15 minutes to spare before needing to leave to get Nathan...what to do? I immediately started packing a lunch and getting the swim suits and towels in the car. I figure productivity could wait- a fun time with friends at the splash pad couldn't!
When I picked Nathan up he was so surprised about our trip- he quickly changed into his swim suit and we were off!
The kids had a great time. Between the water, the park, and the food the kids were happy. It was such a fun, unexpected way to spend the day.
Thanks Jillian for inviting us to join you- it was a lot more fun than doing laundry!
