Wintertime in June

Remember when I thought we'd done our last preschool? Well we're still going- turns out no one's life really changed with the end of the school year (all the boys in the group are the oldest, all the husbands still work/go to school...hence summer is no different then the rest of the year, so why stop?)

Today we learned all about Winter! We read a book and talked all about winters- that it's cold, we wear mittens and coats, things to do when it's cold outside...

We made snow men out of marshmallows, pretzels, chocolate chips, and m&ms, yummy :)

Practiced using scissors to make and decorate snowflakes

Worked on some fine motor skills and laced up some mittens

We then made snowmen, each of the circles had the kid's name on it and they practiced writing

Then it was snack time! Banana Snowmen and Cheese snowflakes.

In the book we read earlier, they talked about ice skating...so we tried it out too.
2 paper plates + a big imagination = ice skating! We even had some speed skating going on

We made snow angels

Then had a snowball fight!

We finished up with a really special treat- snowman donuts!
We love preschool!
