The kids started off the morning doing "Tapping Sticks" with Grandma Hawks.
Then moved outside to the miniature golf and shuffle board area.
They spent a ton of time "building sand castles" (aka knocking over Grandpa Hawks' sand castles)
They painted pictures
And Elise took a super long morning nap so she got some cuddle time with Grandma Lavon (Chris's Grandma)
After baths and naps everyone got all dressed up for family pictures!
In the past the Hawks family attempts at pictures have not turned out well, but things went much better this time so expectations are high :) And you can bet I'll get those pictures on the blog when we get the CD. Here's a preview--I love it.
After dinner we finally had the Family Home Evening lesson that didn't happen on Monday night. The kids were cute...it was about "Savers"- they talked about different problems you might have and how would help (sick-->doctor, fire-->firefighter...), ultimately talking about how Christ saves us all...
Grandma Hawks: "Who saves us from death and sin?"
Nathan: "A Policeman!"
That night we were able to see Chris's cousin Garlan and meet his wife Amanda (they were just starting to date when we left Provo so Chris and I hadn't met her) as well as Chris Aunt Pat.
Minus the guys' unfruitful 2 hour search that night for a pickup basketball game at a church building it was a nice relaxing day.
