Our trip to Utah- Salt Lake City

On Monday we were able to take our kids up to Salt Lake City and walk around Temple Square.  The kids love the Salt Lake Temple and were excited to see in person instead of just in pictures.
We walked around the Temple

My how our family has changed since we came 5 1/2 years ago!

And we made sure the kids touched the Temple doors (see this talk  to learn why we think it is so important)

We checked out the Tabernacle

And one of the Visitors Centers.

And then the other- Chris loves this statue of Christ and always reminds me that he's seen the original- I'm pretty jealous.  The kids thought it was amazing.

We then headed over to the Church History Museum to catch a quick glimpse at the children's area.  I wish we could have spent more time there- it looked awesome, but the kids loved the kids place!

We learned how to do some traditional Latin Dancing...you're welcome for not having the videos of me and Chris joining in!

We could have spent so much more time there, but we were just minutes away from reaching our time limit to our metered parking...unknown to us our credit card was never charged when we tried to pay so when we returned there was a nice ticket on the windshield.  Thinking we were in the right we heading just a few blocks over to City Hall to contest the ticket.

We ended up just quickly paying the ticket (only $15, so not too bad) and headed over for lunch at one of our favorite little place in Salt Lake- Hires Big H.

Besides the parking ticket it was a great day in Salt Lake City!
