Last night I was able to throw a baby shower for my friend Kelly whose having a baby boy- she's due at the end of April but due to some issues she's now having the baby in less than 2 weeks! (Not fair she's missing the worst part of being pregnant...the last few weeks are the pits!) So she was put on bed rest so I was worried about her not making it to the party, but I moved the glider downstairs and as long as her feet were up she was good to go...phew.
Thankfully Chris came home early from class so he was able to help take care of Nathan while I cleaned and made food (which was delicious if I may say so). I made homemade brownies, cheesecake cupcakes, 7 layer bean dip, and fruit dip with strawberries and pineapple...mmm mmm good (except for the cheese cake which was a little over cooked...whoops).
I always worry that no one will show up (I'm paranoid like that even though people rsvp...I'm good at worrying, just ask Chris) thankfully there was a great turnout so our little place was packed- I'm excited to someday have a place that holds a group better.

Now onto my baby boy- he's doing better. Yesterday I freaked out because he had a rash all over his chest. On Tuesday when I went to the doctor they found ulcers on his throat, and the doctor was concerned about dehydration, so I panicked, called the doctor, called my mom and dad...and then called my sister-in-law Amy (a nurse practioner) who calmly explained that it sounded like roseola...which isn't that bad. So I calmed down, and the doctor called me back 2 hours later and confirmed that there wasn't a problem. He's finally getting back to his normal personality, he's playing with toys again and not needing to be held all the time...but he's still pretty clingy and sleeping more than usual, but I'm glad the worst is behind us. Now I need to plan his birthday party- it's next week and I haven't even invited people yet (if anyone is reading this it's next Saturday afternoon at Herman Park...) We're having the party with Nathan's friend Caitlin who turns 1 on Monday, so I really need to get working on it!

Chris has been so happy now that it's March Madness...his big news is that he is going to 2 of the games! Seeing a tournament game is on his list of things to do before he dies and we just couldn't pass up the opportunity since some of the games will be down the street. Him and a friend from school got tickets together so he'll be able to cross this one off the list! He also skipped class yesterday to watch the BYU game which was AMAZING...we can't believe they actually won. He's having a hard time focusing on school, but is loving life.
Life is good right now, we're having fun, enjoying the great weather, and getting back into our rhythm. Still having a hard time believing that I'll have a 1 year old next week, but I love watching him grow and learn new things everyday.

That food looks delish! I'm glad the little guy is feeling better now. When I see sick kids in the clinic I always wonder why the moms panic so much, but after spending a night taking care of a sick baby, I totally understand!
