Vacation rundown: Friday-Tuesday

Friday
*We got up nice and early to catch our 7:30 flight. Nathan did a.m.a.z.i.n.g. on the flight- I've honestly never seen a kid do so well. I love flights that aren't full- Nathan got his own seat without having to pay! Our flight went well and we got to BWI early, our baggage arrived with no problems. We got our rental car and made our way over to Emily and Ryan's to meet our new niece Kylie.
*After Nathan refused to nap (ugh...I hate it when he decides not to sleep) we headed over to the restaurant of death- Pei Wei- for lunch/dinner...more on this later.
*We then went over to the Baltimore Aquarium. Nathan absolutely loved the dolphins, but really enjoyed the colorful fish as well.

I honestly thought the same thing...I wonder what those type of fish are actually called.

*We drove all the way back to my parent's house and after staying up late talking and eating (a Bishop family tradition) we headed off to bed...what a long day!

Saturday
*Shopping! We headed over to the outlet mall and got some adorable clothes for Nathan. He's such a cutie!
*We went to my super cute sister's 16th birthday party! It was a black and white party. It was a cool idea- a friend and her turned 16 within a week of each other so they had a party together.

Sunday
*We got up super early again to make it to Kylie's blessing in Maryland. After being scared we'd be late we got there just in time. Phew.

*We find out that people in the Hawks/Faggard family are starting to get sick. I get worried Nathan will catch what they're getting...this would be no good
*Nathan WALKED! While we were sitting in the lobby of the church Nathan saw a wall of windows and just took off all on his own! He hasn't stopped since.
*We had a nice lunch and dinner spending time with sick family members...I'm still getting worried. But Nathan had fun playing with Scott

Monday
*We spend a nice leasurily day at my parent's house. Chris takes a nap while I go shopping with my mom for some birthday presents for Nathan
*Some friends from way back when came over and our kids got to play. It was so much fun to see them! They are all boys and all really close in age (Brienne- it would have been fun if you had been out here this week so all the boys could be together!)

Isn't James so cute?! This was the best picture I got of any of them...do you know how hard it is to get 3 kids to look good at the same time?*We had a birthday party for Nathan! I'll post pictures later. But it was so cute!

*Remember earlier when I mentioned Pei Wei? Well, it turns out that the sickness everyone was getting wasn't a virus- it was food poisoning! and I got hit Monday night immediately after putting Nathan to bed. It was a long long night for me and Chris. I vowed to never eat there again, but Chris thinks I'll forget how I almost died and go back (especially since they're sending us some vouchers for free meals). I can't remember ever being so sick in my life. It was horrible.

Tuesday
*We stayed home trying to recover from the food poisoning. Amazingly Chris didn't get sick. I was never so grateful that I haven't totally switched Nathan off baby food yet or he would have gotten sick too...I guess it pays to be cautious!
*I had just enough energy to get my hair cut. I've been going to the same lady since I was in 5th grade and can count on 1 hand the number of times since then someone else has touched my hair. I love the hair cut but glad it didn't take long. The smell of hair products almost made me sick again.

*We said goodbye to my Mom and Liz who left for Memphis so Liz could sing in a regional Choir because she's AMAZING!
*I began to feel better towards the end of the day, and the whole family gets a much needed good night's sleep.
