Tuesday morning we went down to see the Alamo. And yes, everyone said it is small, but I was still amazed how small it really is. It was really fun to go and see it. Nathan loved running on the grounds and playing with the water fountain. He was pretty upset that he couldn't touch anything in the Alamo (you can't even touch the walls...) so he was excited to be outside and free from the stroller.
We then headed over to the River Walk- which we love! It is such a cool little area. The architecture and all the little stores and restaurants were so fun. Nathan loved all the birds that were around and just chased them all over.
We stopped for lunch at a great Mexican restaurant and after walking around some more we headed back home. We then dropped Nathan off with Maranna and Ryan (thanks for babysitting!)and went to the San Antonio Temple. It is a beautiful temple inside and out; we were glad we got to go.
We then spent a leisurely night back at the house and stayed up way to late talking and eating (that was our nightly routine...and it was great!)
The next day we spent playing and having fun. Nathan learned what it would be like to have an older sister...it was so fun to see him and Lilly play!
Then, after a quick (too short) nap for Nathan, we went to Sea World! It was so much fun. Nathan absolutely loved it! I was worried he might be too young to really enjoy it but he was so excited for the animals, especially the shows. He loved the show Azul (it had belugas, dolphins, birds, synchronized swimmers, divers...all sorts of stuff to capture his attention) and of course we saw Shamo which was great. We rode the rides (it was great going with Maranna and Ryan because we could switch watching the kids and going on the rides). It had been years since either Chris or I had been on a roller coaster so it was fun to go again...we forgot how much we loved them! And because it was a Wednesday afternoon there was hardly anyone there, so we sat in the front row for the rides...extra fun!
doesn't Nathan look a little tired :)
After seeing all the animals, Nathan (who missed his afternoon nap) totally crashed while on Chris's shoulders, so after getting him down he took a little nap...poor kid was so incredibly tired.
We were going to leave that night, but decided to stay one more night and we left the next morning so we could stop by Lockhart- the BBQ capital of Texas. We went to Black's BBQ, and got some great meat. Chris (and Nathan) were in heaven. It was only a little detour and so worth it! It was the best ending to a great trip!
We're excited to go again!

Ha ha ha, I'm assuming the pink tutu was Lily's idea? He looks so cute! It sounds like you had an awesome trip. I love that you got to see Maranna and Ryan.
