Labor Day 2010

Labor Day was wonderful- Chris didn't have to go to work and was able to sleep in just a little bit to make up for all these early mornings now. We were going to have a picnic at Discovery Green Park, but the weather forecast was no good, so we went to a little park close to us and played for a while.
Quality father-son time

We're starting him off young learning how to mow-
now if we only had a yard...

This is quite possibly his favorite toy- a car with a wheel! He was in heaven.
too bad it was broken and wouldn't go anywhere :(

Once again, another favorite.  We only frequent parks that have wheels now- it's just that important

After the park we decided to go get donuts- Shipley's donuts are kind of a big deal here, and since I'd never had one Chris said it was a must.  I loved my apple fritter (it was delicious) and Chris loved his maple donut (which they don't sell anywhere else in Houston!).  The lady at the counter assured me that the donuts and glaze were completely milk free (which I don't believe, but oh well, what can ya do? It's a holiday) so we got Nathan some donut holes.

After that, we went home, relaxed, and got ready for some football! Nathan loved watching the game and kept pointing at the TV and saying "ball." It was a great ending to a great day.
