It started with Nathan making cornbread- as my mom made some for the family Nathan made 2 muffins worth of batter using his milk and butter. He just loved that he could mix!
The next big baking event was Monday night. Miriam and Nathan got to make biscuits for dinner. They are two of the cutest kids ever. Miriam didn't want to get dirty and Nathan took his job so seriously- he didn't smile the whole time because he was sooo focused.
Today was a baking extravaganza. In the morning Nathan and I made 1 batch of rolls for dinner. He loved dumping in all the ingredients and brushing the top of the rolls with butter. Then we made him some chocolate chip cookies (we found some chocolate chips at the grocery store yesterday that don't have milk! Wahoo!)
He had so much fun mixing in all the ingredients and particularly liked the eggs. He was also a big fan of snacking on the chocolate chips...and it made me a little bit proud when I saw him sneaking a bite of the cookie dough as I was putting it on the pan :) We ended our baking day by making one more batch of rolls. He took so much pride- I really think he completely understood that what we did earlier were the rolls he ate for dinner.
I'm so excited to keep baking with my little guy- it is harder and takes longer (and definitely more messy!) but so much fun!

soo cute! Maddox and I made a pumpkin pie together the other night! He too loved dumping in the ingredients, but we still need some work on the stirring! haha! All he wanted to do was pull the whisk out and make the flour "puff" everywhere!

I'm so jealous! I dream about Addie pouring in the chocolate chips for me every time I make cookies... someday. He is too cute with is serious baking face!
