Here's a bunch of random things going on in our family...enjoy
It's hard to say who likes the play mat more- Abby or Nathan
But if I was a betting woman I'd pick Nathan
Nathan likes to pretend that the camera lens is an eye patch
It's pretty funny
On Saturday Chris and I went dream car shopping- we pretended we were looking to buy a new minivan so we went to the Honda and Toyota dealerships. It was fun to look at the cars, test drive them, and think of what we want in our future car (hopefully not too far away- I'm tired of being a 1 car family!) We determined that we like to Odyssey a lot more than the Sienna...guess we need to start saving because these things are expensive!
Yesterday we had Family Home Evening with the missionaries at our Church Building. They are practicing giving tours of the building and asked for people to come help them. I felt bad for them, they were trying to make it spiritual but Nathan was having none of it...he's pure crazy sometimes. Oh well, we tried. We then stopped by Chick-fil-a on the way home and let Nathan play in the play place while Chris and I secretly had a milkshake---we told Nathan it was water...it's fun being parents :)
Our TV went psycho Saturday morning- we were sitting in the living room talking and folding laundry when the tv turned on...then turned on, then off, on, off...it was possessed. After trying a whole bunch of things I finally got through to customer service yesterday and was told it will be about $300 to fix it...so we're now on the hunt for a new tv...
Nathan got kicked out of the childcare at the gym today for hitting. It's a new thing he's doing and he's getting worse and worse...everything we've been trying hasn't worked. So if you've got any great ideas let me know! The worst part was that our water was shut off today to fix an underground leak so I was planning on showering there, but I was only 2 miles into my run when I got the tap on my arm telling me Nathan had to go...so no real shower for me. I washed my hair in the tub we had filled with cold water this morning and then tried to get as clean as I could with a wash cloth...I guess this is what people did a long time ago and they survived...needless to say I'm excited to take a real shower.
And last but not least...I know every parent thinks their kids are the cutest kids ever
I am no different- these two really are the cutest kids ever.

Don't worry too much about the hitting. Yes, reinforce that it's not an okay thing to do, but keep in mind that he's two and just experienced a major life change. It's completely normal to run into some behavioral issues with the addition of a new sibling.
