We've starting to settle into a little bit of a routine...
*Our first day back at the gym was Tuesday- and we're back on our daily schedule there. I'm definitely not a gym rat but I didn't realize how much I loved it till I went 6 weeks without it!
*Abby is almost sleeping through the night- I think she would have 2 nights ago, but I woke her up at 4:30 since she went to bed at 9. Last night she went to bed at 10:30 and woke up on her own at 4:15 and was back asleep after eating by 4:30...not bad
*Last night was her first night out of our room (yea!) - I'm still too nervous to out both kids in the same room, so the pack n' play is in the hallway. Makes for a tight squeeze to get to the rooms but we'll live.
*Nathan is talking up a storm and being crazy. He is loving his new bike and helmet he got for his birthday- I need to get a picture- he's just so cute.
*He didn't have a single temper tantrum yesterday- it was wonderful!
*Chris and I are on a sand volleyball team with some of his classmates. Our first game was on Wednesday. We didn't win but Nathan loved playing in the sand. Hes a great little cheerleader.
*I have been to the grocery store/walmart multiple times now with 2 kids. If I time it right it is a great experience...I'm really beginning to think I can do this 2 kid thing. (though Chris will attest that I still lose it sometimes, like when we went to bed after midnight on Monday and Abby decided she wasn't going to sleep from 1-4:30...and then Nathan was up at 6:45.)
*Chris is doing his OB GYN rotation which is great because it is right down the road, just a few minutes on his bike. We really have been liking the schedule, 9-5 most days and he doesn't have to take call, so it's pretty nice! He's actually working with my doctor...(we found out after I started seeing the doctor that Chris was assigned to work with him). When I had my 6 week check up this week it was great because Chris was working there so I didn't get a babysitter for Nathan so he could see Chris in the middle of the day which was a special treat.
*Here's a video of dinner last night. Chris had to work late (thankfully a rare occurrence this rotation) so I decided to record our dinner. Nothing too interesting, just my two favorite kids! But the grandparents should enjoy it :)
So life is still hard but good- I'm loving our new normal.
