On Sunday during Church we noticed Nathan was being super cuddly and not wanting to play with his toys...not normal. He was so cuddly Chris went to Nursery with him. By the time we got home he had a fever. We knew he was really sick when we offered him a popsicle and ice cream and he turned them both down.
Chris was able to stay home yesterday and help out, so I decided to go to the gym with Abby. When I got home I told Chris I felt funny, and about 2 hours later I was passed out on the couch with a fever too. If Chris hadn't stayed home yesterday I don't know what we would have done. I was completely incapable of doing anything besides sleeping and moaning how hot/in pain I was (muscle aches, joint pain...the whole nine yards).
So we've spent the last 2 days watching lots of Thomas, Cars, and Mickey Mouse. Dinner last night was popcorn- the only thing Nathan would eat. Poor Chris has been such a trooper though all this- it's finals week for him and he has many projects and papers due as well, and he's spent his time doing anything he can to make our lives better. Thankfully Chris and Abby aren't showing any signs of being sick- we're praying it stays that way.
Today we're doing a little better, both mine and Nathan's throat hurt so we're heading to the doctor today to make sure it's not strep or anything like that. Poor Nathan had a rude awakening when he took his first swallow of orange juice this morning- that's how we knew his throat hurt too.
Hopefully by tomorrow we'll be done with being sick and everything will be back to normal.
