We were trying to think of something fun to do Saturday evening when Chris had the thought to have a dinner by the pool, so we quickly packed up plates, utensils, drinks, and food and headed over to the pool. We had fun eating our hamburgers, french fries, baked beans and watermelon, but Nathan was antsy the whole time to get in the water!
So we swam...and swam and swam- we were there for hours! Nathan was loving it. The water was a perfect temperature so Abby didn't mind it one bit- she sure is a trooper keeping up with Nathan!
It was super hot and humid that morning (we tried going to the zoo but ended up feeding the ducks, and playing at the playground for 30 minutes before calling it quits- too hot!) but the evening was much better, so it was great to be outside and enjoy it.
Nathan finally swam by himself with the help of the arm floaties (what are those called? I call them floaties, Chris calls them water wings...hmm). He kept yelling "I swimming! I swimming!" We are so proud of our big boy!
Also- feeding Abby from a bottle is going much, much better. She still cries, but after about 10 minutes she'll drink (complaining most of the time...but she'll drink an ounce now!) We're proud of her too!
