Chris's Birthday Day

Today Chris turned 27 years old- he's old- though Nathan is convinced he's 5 1/2...which, according to Nathan, is still "old".
To celebrate we spent the day together - not much else to do when school is over and we can't get a job for another month or more :) but it was a great day.
We started off with gingerbread houses with Nathan's friend Caitlin
And in case you were wondering, this is what happens when you drop one of these house on the floor...
I really need to be more careful. But thankfully Chris came up with a great fix.

Then came lunch and nap time (all three kids at the same time- great!) Even Chris took a long nap - what a birthday treat.

We then headed to the park.  It was so wonderful to finally get out of the house- it's been so rainy and wet lately we haven't been able to be outside.  We had a great time.
Abby's first time on the see-saw...pretty sure she absolutely loved it
making "snow" angels...we really need to get these poor kids some snow...so sad!

Then came dinner, dessert, and some presents.  Nathan was a super star at singing Happy Birthday - he's got the whole song down. And we only had to blow out candles twice today :) love that kid.
Happy Birthday Honey!
