Man Time

A few weeks ago the men in our family went on our Stake's Father-Son Camp out...they had a blast. They went to Brazos Bend State Park (aka the Alligator Park...where a whole bunch of alligators live.  Don't worry no one has ever been hurt)

Chris got off early from work and Nathan was soooo incredibly excited! I told him they would leave after nap time and he couldn't wait!

They drove down with some friends and set up camp...unfortunately I forgot to pack Chris's sleeping bag...whoops- sorry you slept on the hard ground honey, my bad. At least I packed a sheet (yes- it is already too hot to sleep inside a sleeping bag).

They played with friends, made dinner (yummy hot dogs!) and just had fun being together.

Then came the most important part of camping- the smores!

Nathan called at 11:30 (!) to say good night.  He had a long day but so much fun.

The next morning they had breakfast then packed up and headed out for some more fun!
They took a walk around the lake and looked at tons of adult alligators.

They also went to the nature center and pet baby alligators and looked at other cool things.

The highlight of the day was the little alligator Chris bought for Nathan- and wow has it been a hit for weeks now- best $2 over priced toy ever...

The boys had so much fun! Nathan has had a serious lack of man time and really misses hanging out with his dad, so this trip was perfect for them both. I'm so glad my boys really enjoy being together!
