One Year Older

It's official...yesterday I turned 26 years old- crazy how another year has flown by.

It first started on Thursday when Chris took me to see the Lion King! It was awesome- the costumes were absolutely amazing and it was such a fun show to see. I loved it!

Saturday was a great day.  We got to have one of Abby's best friends over for a couple hours in the morning- she was thrilled.  Nesting is in full swing so I did a whole bunch of cleaning- Chris was upset I was cleaning the bathrooms, mopping the floors, etc, but it was great. I felt a serious need to clean and with Chris home (and cute little Stockton over) my kids were so occupied they didn't even try to step on the kitchen floor or interrupt me while I cleaned the bathroom- now that's a happy birthday to a crazy, nesting, 9 months pregnant woman!

Chris then surprised me by getting a babysitter so we could go out to lunch! We dropped off the kids and headed over to a cute little bakery in Rice Village (a hip, cool, shopping area close our house).  The food was delicious and it was a fun surprise in the middle of the day.

We came home and put the kids (and myself!) to bed.  When the kids woke up Nathan couldn't keep the presents a secret any longer so it was present time and I made off like a bandit!
The big highlight was season tickets to the Broadway Across America shows coming to Houston this coming season!!!!! We get to see Beauty and the Beast, Wicked (again!) and Les Miserables and a few more...I can't wait! I also got so many other wonderful things- I definitely am a lucky girl!

We then made some Danish meatballs to take our Ward Party- the theme was a multi-cultural night so we brought food that Chris learned how to make on his mission in Denmark. It was a fun way to spend the night eating lots of delicious food from all over the world.

Then tonight we had cake and ice cream- the kids favorite part!

I had a great birthday and I'm excited for the year ahead.  Here are a couple goals I have for my 26th year:

-have a baby
-not go crazy with 3 kids

and that's about it! I'm keeping expectations real low!
