We thought there would be tons of people since it was a holiday so to beat the heat and the crowd we got there just as it opened, stayed a few hours, then left when it was starting to get busier (and hotter!) We had a wonderful time- the kids have been acting a bit crazy since Elise was born and we made it the whole morning without a single tantrum or fight- what a success!
When we were leaving we asked Nathan what his favorite animal at the zoo- he said it was the dinosaur...
But he really enjoyed everything else too...Abby especially loved watching the elephants get a bath!
And no trip to the zoo is complete without a ride on the carousel!
Nathan and Abby can't wait for the weather to cool off so I'll take them more often!
