Despite all my complaints about how much Chris works he really has a good job. Methodist is a great hospital to work at, and after dropping my Mom off at the airport we headed over to an employee appreciation party with the Astros.
We played Plinko to win some sweet prizes- like necklaces, bobble heads, and my new yoga mat.
We spun the wheel and got some stickers and cracker jacks
Threw the baseball- Nathan did really well. The guy in charge kept trying to scoot him closer but he insisted on standing where the adults threw it (and almost made it in the tiny hole too!) Abby didn't do as well but sure looked cute trying. Her throws go about 2 feet and they're line drives straight into the ground.
We then got some autographs, Jose Altuve and Milo Hamilton (I think he's only famous here in Houston for being the announcer for 30 years...)
WE then hit up the snack area and between all 5 of us made off with way too many healthy snacks.
except for the brownie- those weren't healthy at all
The kids loved seeing Chris during the middle of the day, and it was something to look forward to instead of wallowing in sadness that my mom was gone.
