Our birthday celebrations started off last night when we headed out to get Nathan's free birthday ice cream from Marble Slab Creamery for family home evening.
He was very excited for the chocolate ice cream he picked out. And it was really big considering it was the small size!
Abby was a big fan too...
okay- both my kids really love ice cream :)
And since he's so old now we let Nathan drive home :)
This morning Nathan woke up to a birthday banner and a ton of balloons blown up all over the floor.
He found a birthday note at the table.
His breakfast of choice was cap'n crunch and lucky charms...together. eww.
His exact words were, "I want two a num- together"
We then spent the morning playing outside before heading to do some of Nathan's favorite things. We hit up the library and got some new books then we headed over to the park!
Lunch was his choice- a roast beef sandwich, pickles, pineapple, and cheetos!
Usually after his nap we have about and hour or more where Abby keeps sleeping, so today we made some sidewalk chalk paint!
He loved mixing it up and putting in the colors.
I then stripped his down and he took his paint brushes and went to work!
After a while of only painting the cement he told me that it was time to do his make up..."just like mommy" (hopefully I have a little better accuracy!)
Just before Abby woke up I turned on the sprinkler and Nathan cleaned himself off, then I got their swimsuits on and they played some more.
Dinner was again Nathan's choice- pepperoni ("pepernoni") pizza, "crunchy" green beans (not cooked), watermelon, and chocolate milk...yum yum.
After dinner came presents. He loves the swimming pool, the new "crazy" sprinkler, and his stuffed lion.
Then came cake time! He blew out the candles then he and Abby went to work!
Next of course came bath time and then skype calls with family.
He said it was his "favorite birthday ever." We're such good parents!
Happy Birthday Nathan!
