Going to the Zoo with Grandma

While my mom was here we headed to the zoo- Nathan and Abby were so happy! It's been almost 2 months since we last went so it was time for another visit.
Our first stop is always the sea lions- last time we went and they weren't there (we told Nathan they had to go to the doctors) so he was thrilled so see them there.

We saw some fish and turtles (that bite) so it was a good thing Abby kept trying to climb up and put her hands inside the tank- she's such a little rascal.

Much time was spent in the tunnel- it's always a hit.

We saw the elephants getting a bath...

the komodo dragon...

an orangutan with her little baby...

tried on masks and played in the African village...

and saw a whole bunch of animals we didn't take pictures of...Nathan was very sad the rhino exhibit was under construction.

We rode the merry-go-round which both Nathan and Abby loved.

We then headed over to the playground and ran into one of Nathan's best friends! After playing there longer then expected we ate lunch- which basically involved shoving food in the kids' mouths whenever they ran by.

On our way out we ran into some animals- a snake and a rabbit.  Nathan got to pet both but loved the  snake- he thought it was so cool.  I was way too scared to touch it but he wasn't at all; I was so proud of him!

I only let Abby touch the rabbit- it seemed safer that way for everyone involved :)

Thanks Mom for coming to the zoo with us!
