April Conference 2014

Every 6 months instead of regular church we get to watch General Conference where we listen to the general leadership of the Church.  We love "stay at home church" (even though it makes for a long 8 hours of TV watching.)

This year to keep the kids focused (and myself!) we tried a new approach- candy!
Each time they heard a key word they could go grab one candy, unfortunately I think I made way too many categories because they were completely candied out by Sunday...

They also had little coloring packets to follow along and find the speakers pictures which they thought was fun to point out when they found someone.

They actually do a really great job of paying attention and allowing us to listen as well.  I so proud of them and their sweet spirits wanting to follow the Prophet.

And conference weekend wouldn't be complete without cinnamon rolls! Good thing we had some friends over to share because apparently I completely lack self control when it comes to baking appropriately sized amounts for our family.
