Dog sitting

When our neighbors went out of town the kids were more then delighted to dog sit- Remy (the dog) has become an important part of the kids lives and they just love him.  If it was solely up to Chris we would have had a dog years ago, but me being my party-pooper-self has put that dream on hold for a few more years...so dog sitting is perfect for me!

Elise and Abby both used to be utterly terrified of Remy, but after our first dog sitting experience about 6 months ago Abby turned a corner, unfortunately it only made Elise more scared.  Then one day about 4 months ago she just decided she loved animals, and Remy became her best friend.

The kids had a blast taking Remy on walks, playing catch in the back yard and their favorite--taking him on walks to "The Big Hole"- a water reservoir area near our house.

It's moments like this that make me wish we did have a dog, and then I remember that most of the work of really having a dog would be left up to me and I'm happy to bring Remy back home :)
