We have lived in Houston for 5 years and I've just been too lazy to drive the hour or so to the big patches of bluebonnets, so when I heard about a little patch just a short drive from our house we jumped on it and decided to get take the kids.
Some of the pictures turned out quite nice
But most looked more like this :)
We brought along our good friends along-Brianne and Stephanie- whom our kids just adore.
They tried to get a good picture of the whole family- which only involves everyone looking at the camera, with a non crying face, and no nose picking...this was basically the only one that qualified :)
Afterwards (to reward us adults for attempting pictures of the kids) we all headed to the grand opening of Verts Kebap (a European street food type restaurant) for some free food. It was absolutely delicious and totally worth standing in a long line for!
