Nate's First Sick Day

Nate had his first sick day home from school at the beginning of April.  He sometimes has a weak stomach/gag reflex so throwing up and being completely fine is something that doesn't strike me as odd anymore.  So when he got sick Sunday night I told him we'd see how he felt in the morning.

At breakfast it was pretty obvious he was actually sick.

I had moved his bed to the floor in the middle of the night in case he threw up again (cleaning off the top bunk is no easy feat), and it took me about 10 minutes after he left the table to realize he had gone back to his room and was all curled up in bed.  That has never happened before. He spent almost an hour just lying there.

He was hardly even sad he wasn't able to go to school, he spent the next to days like this-

or this-

He did have enough energy Monday to draw a picture of his prayer...It says "help me feel better".  Poor kid!

His school was Monday, Tuesdays, and Thursdays- he was feeling a better by Tuesday afternoon and was so excited to get back to school Thursday, and we were glad to have him well and whatever he was sick with no one else got...hallelujah!
