Chris and I had been debating for months about whether or not to get Abby a "big girl bike". Chris insisted that she needed one (she had been riding a neighbors for months already and was perfectly capable) but I insisted that no barely 3 year old needed one...I obviously lost that argument and randomly found a bike on sale that wasn't covered in princesses and hello kitty (basically my only requirements). So while she was at preschool one day I bought it and hid it till after naps, then surprised her. Her reaction was amazing- definitely the highlight of my week. So kudos to Chris for being the smarter parent :)
And we obviously had to immediately take it out for a test ride. I can't even imagine having her ride the little toddler bikes anymore...I can't believe I was so stubborn and didn't get her one earlier!
