I switched with another mom last week for preschool so my last time teaching came up much sooner than planned...it's definitely been a fun and exciting adventure teaching these great kids!
Our group was a little smaller then normal with 2 boys out of town, but we still had fun. We learned about the letter T and triangles. We first read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom (my all time favorite letter book!)
We picked leaves to decorate our T trees
Then talked about turtles and decorated Timmy the Turtle with Triangles
even Abby joined in on the action
We then talked about our teeth and each kid got a mouth and some marshmallows to put in
We then built triangles and T's out of Toothpicks. Possibly a little advanced for this group but they definitely had fun eating the marshmallows!
After that came making T's and triangles with their bodies- which is apparently an awesome thing to do
Then came snack time! We ate a bunch of fruit with toothpicks. It was a definite hit! I should have Nathan eat that way more often!
Our last big activity was the highlight of the day- our Treasure Hunt! We made our way around the house following picture clues (all started with T- trains, TV, toilet...) in the end it all led outside to the Tree where the Treasure box was hiding.
Inside we found the treats- Rice Krispie Treats!
Then the boys played Tag till their moms came.
It was a great day of preschool!
