Taking a Sick Day

Monday we took a sick day at our house.
Sunday afternoon around 4 Nathan started complaining about his eye hurting...no big deal right?
wrong.
By 6 one eye was all goopy and swollen and by 7 the other eye was too.
Gross
So Monday morning I call the doctor (Chris is positive he knew what is was - not pink eye- but blepharitis..say that 3 times fast...) The doctor quickly looks in his eyes, checks his ears just to be sure nothing was going on there, and then writes a prescription. (Chris was right by the way)
Done. Easy. minus the almost hour long wait at the office...
Turns out actually getting the prescription was harder then planned.  It took 2 trips to the pharmacy and a couple of hours but we finally got some medicine.
Because it stinks being sick I let Nathan pick out anything he wanted at the store.  He quickly went over to the ice cream section and asked for the ice cream sandwiches.

We came home, ate our treats outside, and played.

The medicine has worked really quickly, although he hates having the drops in his eyes, and we were back our normal schedule once I was sure he wasn't any sort of contagious. While it's fun to take a day off sometimes it's never fun to be sick...glad he's all better!
