Boston Vacation- Day 1

For way too many years Boston has been my dream place to live- I love almost everything about New England (don't get me started on why we're still here in Houston!) so when we realized Chris wouldn't be going to his preferred Orthopedic Conference this year (2 weeks after our baby is due was not ideal timing) we decided to take the whole family to Boston for the national PA conference.  With work already paying for a hotel and flight for Chris (and Elise free to fly for only a couple more months) it worked out quite nicely! I was very, very quickly able to convince my mom and dad to join us too so that made it even better!

As always, our kids were super excited to fly

They really are the best kids I know when it comes to flights. They fall asleep every single time.  I love them.

My parents met us at the airport- Elise was very happy to have lots of people around wanting to hold her.  She snuggled up right away :)

There wasn't enough room in my parent's car for all the luggage, strollers, food, car seats, and people, so Chris and I took a taxi to the hotel instead.  Being kid free for even just a little bit was the perfect way to start off our vacation :)

While most of our trip was planned around food that night we decided to make things easy and go to the Cheesecake Factory right next to the hotel.

Unfortunately my hotel bookings for my parent's room got messed up so for a couple nights we were all sleeping in the same room- 4 adults and 3 kids made for a crowded but fun room!

Which actually turned out quite nicely when you bring back cheesecake back to your hotel room for a late night snack while the kids sleep :)
