This summer though it became (painfully) obvious it was time to snip those curls off- the struggle ever morning with combing was just too much for either of us to handle. She was wearing braids every day and I would never let her wear it long like she wanted.
So I finally just decided it was time to take the plunge.
It took 1.5 hours, 2 hair cutters, and a whole bunch of fruit snacks but it finally looked okay.
I had to go home and fix quite a bit but she looks so amazingly grown up now. I will always miss the curls (they are definitely gone) but I love her new look, and Abby is so happy she can do her own hair now and wear it "long". Only took me 3 1/2 years to do it!
